I hear Tramaine Davis (Hawkins) on this song. She sang with André Crouch and with Edwin Hawkins (listen to Joy Joy), before she sang with Walter Hawkins. Tramaine is one of my favorite singers of all time.

As Much as I Love Tramaine, Can we all agree, She Was being so extra in that dress. The bottom half look like a bunch of Ruffles.

What a song. It just came across my mind and I thought I would play it. It still speaks to me in 2023. What a geeat and talented group they were.

Been into this song since I bought the cassette in my teens somewhere in the early to mid 70's. I still break out in tears when I hear it, especially when the female vocal (Tremaine Hawkins) comes in at the 2nd half of this absolutely beautiful song. Intensely captures the deep longing of wanting (needing) to return to living for Jesus and the sweet release of opening your arms to lock in His "sweet arms of love"!

This is the song that made me take choir at Hirsch High school back in 1978 I was coming in from lunch period and passed by the choir room the students singing this song made it sound so good I said to my self I got to be a part of that.

Can't wait to go back home before Christmas and play this disc! One of my all time favorites along the discs my dad owns.

09/ 04/2019 @ 13:18 hrs. I've just come across this song. I first know of Andrea in 1979/ 80 and what a blessing his songs have been to my self esteem. Well done Andrea and Sandra Crouch; on the battlefield for God. Bro. Andrea had been called home to glory but his messages shall never fade neither been forgotten. Finding out what life is all about is on one of the Edwin Hawkins Singers album with Shirley on lead. This was in the late 70’s or early 80’s. There were only four members in the group, Edwin and Lynnette Hawkins, Shirley Miller and their other cousin Carol King.....

Shirley Miller recorded a song back in the early years with the words, "I'm finding out what life is all about..." Could someone please post this song. It was so beautiful and I can't find it anywhere, but I know I remember it.

I've always wondered who the female vocalist was on this song. I knew it wasn't Sandra (Crouch), who was a member of the group and the only female featured on the album cover.
